The teeth whitening technique involves thermo tooth bleaching trays. These are plastic shields which fit onto the upper and lower teeth. The trays are similar to a sports gum-shield.  A special tooth whitening gel is syringed into these trays and they are worn 30 minutes a day for two to three weeks.

A permanent tooth-shade lightening is achieved, but the teeth will slowly begin to restain again with time. The teeth bleaching trays can be kept permanently and the tooth whitening effect can be topped-up every few months, by using the gel for one or two nights. Additional syringes of tooth whitening gel can be purchased from Great Smile Spa.

Most people find the tooth whitening procedure very comfortable, although many people experience some tooth sensitivity during the treatment. This sensitivity is usually mild, and disappears within a few days of completing the treatment.
